The Founder

KIRK BUCKNOR

Founder, KIBU Global Ventures · Supply chain and logistics leader

Twenty years in Army logistics taught me one thing that never changed: somebody has to see the problem and build the fix. I spent two decades doing exactly that across global supply chains. Then I taught myself to ship software and did it again, in code.

How I got here

Problem. Then solution.

The same instinct, applied to a supply chain and to a screen.

01

The Origin

Two decades, boots on the ground

I did not study logistics from a distance. I lived it, for twenty years, moving people and materiel where they needed to be, on time, under pressure, with real consequences when the plan broke. Army logistics is problem-solving with the stakes turned all the way up. It taught me to read a broken system fast and fix the part that actually matters.

02

The Pivot

From spotting problems to building fixes

Along the way I kept running into the same thing: problems nobody had built a tool for. So I built the tools. I taught myself to design and ship software on top of a demanding full-time career, turning the friction I saw every day into working products. Not a side hobby. A studio, stood up for federal work, with real releases.

03

The Proof

Live products, real users, four domains

KIBU Global Ventures is the result: a portfolio of applications live on the Apple App Store and Google Play, spanning logistics, travel, military transition, and gaming. Breadth is range. Live is follow-through. Each one started as a problem I understood firsthand and ended as something people can download and use today.

04

The Through-Line

The one trait under all of it

Supply chain or software, the pattern is the same. See the problem clearly, then build the fix and ship it. That is the discipline twenty years in uniform built, and it is what I bring to every system I touch. I do not wait for someone else to solve it.

What comes next

I see the problem, and I build the fix.

That is the whole story, and it is the same whether the system is a supply chain or a screen. If that is the kind of person your team needs, let us talk.
